The Tilenga project is one of Uganda's most significant upstream oil developments, located in the Albertine Graben region. TotalEnergies EP Uganda operates the project in partnership with CNOOC Uganda and UNOC.
The project covers six oil fields: Jobi-Rii, Jobi East, Ngara, Gunya, Nsoga, and Ngege. At peak production, Tilenga is expected to produce approximately 190,000 barrels of oil per day, making it a cornerstone of Uganda's oil production ambitions.
