Strategic collaborations with regional partners to enhance energy infrastructure and security across East Africa.
Uganda National Oil Company (UNOC) has signed a landmark strategic partnership agreement aimed at strengthening regional energy security across East Africa.
The partnership focuses on three core pillars: joint infrastructure development, shared technical expertise, and coordinated energy supply management.
UNOC's Managing Director emphasised the significance of the agreement: "This partnership represents a new chapter in East African energy cooperation."
A key component of the partnership is the development of shared pipeline infrastructure that will enable the efficient transportation of crude oil and refined petroleum products across borders.
The agreement also establishes a joint technical committee that will oversee knowledge transfer programmes and capacity building initiatives.
Regional energy security has become an increasingly important priority as East African nations seek to reduce their dependence on imported petroleum products.
