TotalEnergies, in partnership with UNOC, progresses well-drilling operations at the Tilenga oil fields.
The Tilenga Project, operated by TotalEnergies in partnership with Uganda National Oil Company (UNOC) and CNOOC Uganda Limited, has advanced to the next phase of well-drilling operations.
Drilling activities have progressed significantly, with multiple production wells successfully completed and tested.
TotalEnergies' Country Chair for Uganda stated: "The progress at Tilenga reflects our commitment to developing Uganda's petroleum resources responsibly and efficiently."
UNOC's Managing Director added: "The advancement of drilling activities at Tilenga is a major step forward for Uganda's oil development journey."
The Tilenga Project encompasses the development of six oil fields in the Buliisa and Nwoya districts of Uganda.
Environmental and social management programmes continue to be implemented in accordance with international standards.
